Collaborating a Disciple-Making Movement

From the beginning Restoration Church has actively sought out partnership opportunities with a community of autonomous churches committed to fulfilling the Great Commission. It’s our belief the most effective and lasting means to seeing the church fulfill this mission is through gospel-centered collaboration focused on joining Christ in His mission to reconcile the world into His Kingdom by making, sending, and multiplying followers of Jesus Christ. This Sunday, we have the privilege to participate in making an additional step in fulfilling that call, and you are invited to be part of it.

It’s been said the Church should be known as “a disciple-making factory” [1]. If this is the case, then what exactly is a disciple? What do these disciples look like? What do they do? What is their purpose? How do they benefit the world? And what are the implications for us as a community of churches that are committed to making disciples who make disciples?

This Sunday, Restoration Church will be participating in a special collaborative and celebration service with another a like-minded church start-up, The Beacon Community Church (Hoffman Estates, IL). We will be casting a vision for what it means to start a gospel-movement of “disciples who make disciples to the glory of God.” Our time together will feature talks on discipleship, testimonies from the represented church communities, worship, prayer for our neighborhoods, and end with lunch together.

Visitors and supporters are welcomed to attend this special event. Our hope is that you will leave inspired to be part of a disciple-making movement in your community.
